Membership in Post 655 is more than belonging to a Veteran organization—it’s about continuing your mission of service.
When you join The American Legion, you become part of a powerful voice that fights every day to protect and strengthen the benefits Veterans have earned—from healthcare and education to housing and mental health support.
Every Legionnaire adds strength to our advocacy in Washington, in Austin, and right here in our community.

 But The American Legion’s purpose extends beyond advocacy. Through programs that serve youth, veterans in need, and our local neighborhoods, Post 655 serves the entire community. We build leaders, honor heroes, and stand ready to help whenever America calls.

Squadron 655 – Sons of The American Legion

For the male descendants of Veterans, the Sons of The American Legion Squadron 655 offers a way to honor the legacy of service in your family.
By joining Squadron 655, sons, grandsons, and great-grandsons of Veterans carry forward the principles of duty, honor, and patriotism that their loved ones embodied.
It’s not just membership—it’s a living tribute to those who served, ensuring their sacrifices are remembered and their values carried forward. The Sons of The American Legion are the next generation of service, standing proudly beside the Legion in every mission to strengthen our nation and uplift our communities.

Unit 655 – American Legion Auxiliary

For the female descendants and spouses of Veterans, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 655 represents compassion in action.
Auxiliary members serve not only as supporters but as leaders and advocates—champions for Veterans, military families, and patriotic education. Through acts of kindness, community outreach, and volunteer service, Unit 655 brings the heart to our mission.
They are the hands that comfort, the voices that advocate, and the hearts that heal. The Auxiliary’s legacy is one of service, leadership, and love for country—ensuring that the sacrifices made by our Veterans are honored through every generation.

When a Veteran joins Post 655, a son joins Squadron 655, and a wife, daughter, or granddaughter joins Unit 655, something powerful happens—a family united by service is born.
Together, the American Legion Family stands for Veterans, families, and communities. We protect what has been earned, preserve the memories of those who served, and prepare the next generation to lead with honor.
